with sad regrettoday, just done a 600 mile round trip, with an hours stop, car was fantastic, no aches an pains.
anyway, the whole trip cost me around a £100.00 in petrol. so i had 12 hours to think things through, now i visit my children as often as i can, but would like to visit them more, but the cost of petrol, for each visit which is around a £100.00. now i know if i was in a saloon car, with slightly smaller engine, less weight, and better through the air that a fronty, i could save myself £40.00 per trip, which means going more often would be easier to see them. So i have sat and thought for 12 hours today, that im going to go back to a normal car, with the money i have to spend. and not a fronty. but if its all right with you guys, i will still come on here, and give what advice i know, and just to say hi and see how things are going. i worked it out, and i could see my children and extra 4 times a year, with the money saved, on petrol. sean

Re: with sad regretSorry Mate,
I have had a few tinnies.....But my recommendation would be to look for a diesel whether it is a front or not. Huw Owner of 'Maisey Daisey' aka Frontera LWB 2.2DTLi! Model year 2000.

Re: with sad regretOnly one thought..
Keep the Fronty and move closer!! Do what you need to do, children are far more important than cars... or alternatively get yourself a 2.8 TDI and you might find that you spend less than a smaller engined petrol car? Re: with sad regretChildren always come first and selling the Fronty must have been a hard decision.
