Re: Dandan driveIf you're sat there thinking things just can't get any worse, just wait......
Re: Dandan driveHi Dan, All great ideas, can you Pm Andy put your heads together come up with a map of the country, so we will know where we may need FOG members to help out.
Dan wrote " I do not feel I alone should benefit from such a fantastic gesture (I'm sure there are some that feel I shouldn't benefit at all and I would have to agree) " Reeco writes Dan, if there is anyone out there who doesn't feel for you and the situation you are currently in then that is their personal opinion and if any of them find themselves in such a tough situation in the future, then and only then will they understand. Re: Dandan drivesorry dandan i feel that this will stay the dandan drive as it was intended for you, some times you have to swollow you pride and let strangers help, if the relay driver feel they want to add a bit more thats up to them, that will then go to FOG as donation for FOG to do as they please,
if Mallorr: wants to carry the fog torch down most of the country we can make it where some of us can meet up with him on his route flying solo, weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Re: Dandan driveHi All, Malc here.
If you have a look at a route from KY5 0BZ to Dorchester (Dorset) and select some of the Motor way stops closest to you along that route. Travel date 3/5/08 and i need to be at destination by 3PM but this can be altered slightly. Start time between 5am and 6am. I will agree with the statement that an increase in time will come with the task and i am on a time line, so if you all understand that it may be necessary to collect, take a photo and run that thats fine. Obviously longer will be spent a i need travel breaks awell. What i would suggest is if any other members could feed into one car, That way its the closest person that then meets on motorway. Take a picture as they hand there donation over. Why not join us on the motor way for a convoy for some of the journey. Lets cause a spectical. My phone No. can be had by the orginiser/team leader/administrator to aid coordination. Any guy's from Scotland, let me know and we could do a collection before my set of date OR form the convoy as part of the journey. Early start as above. We enough of me. Over to the team now. Lets get this show, (The Dandan Drive Show) on the road. These are just a few of my thoughts. Would be happy to thrash out others before hand.

Re: Dandan drivewe're right down off the end of the M5 ...(stuck right down in the SW of Devon) ...
Re: Dandan drivehmmmmm, just had a look at your route, and it appears that I am 71 miles from the nearest passing point........
Forgiveme for saying this but I may have to opt out - 140 mile round trip to hand over a fiver seems a little excessive. I have posted off a cheque, and give the DANDAN DRIVE (maybe DDD or Triple D) my full backing Good luck to all that partivcipate (slumps off upset that he misses out yet again by living in the crappy north east Big Dave

Re: Dandan driveIf the route is along the M5, I can drive from Pontypool to Gordano Services and meet there, if any of the South Wales lot want to join in then maybe if we do a relay across South Wales and I'll finish up at Gordano
Just a thought Soon to be without a Frontera after 10 years of owning one
Re: Dandan driveHi Mate, I can drive from Swansea to meet you at a junction on the M4 nearest to you at Ponty and pass on any money I may have, I have been pledged a donation for Dan of course, I have also given Dan a donation but I suppose, I could stretch to another couple of quid.
We really need more Fronty owners to step up to the plate and help one of our own out. ATB. Reeco
Re: Dandan driveI seem to be a little out of the way for some reason but am willing to help.
Can only manage a fiver but will need an address as I don't have credit accounts. Who can I send it to??? Regards Andi

Re: Dandan driveThought on this..
Each person donating money should sign a best wishes book... and when the person delivering the money to be taken the next leg they should enter how much money they are handing over in to the book and then the next person checks the money before continuing.. keeps everything above board. Oh, yeah, personally, looking at the distances people have to travel it might just be easier to do a PayPal link and letting people donate as much as they like.. specially considering my leg is going to be a minimum of 50 miles return! www.4x4search.org - your 4x4 search engine. 100% human submitted and edited!
Re: Dandan drivewhat a great idear we will start a thread soon, i have sent a pm to admin in conjuction with a pay pal link, but dandan does not have a bank acount to transfer funds, so there migh be two other ways of sending donations i am just waiting on a responce from some pm's,
