Re: voltage gaugethis is normal due to the ammount of power required to turn over an engine, the battery will take whatever the alternator can put into it in the first few moments after starting since there has been a large discharge. Then the battery stabilises and a lower, steadier current is drawn. This will be quite normal behaviour in any car with a voltage guage.
Re: voltage gaugethe voltage is down when i just turn the ignition lights on.
Re: voltage gaugesounds like you've got an earthing problem ...
check all the earth straps in the engine bay ...
Re: voltage gaugewill check earth straps, but couldn't it be the batteries on its way out????
Re: voltage gaugeit's very likley ...yes ...
but it's best to do the free things first
Re: voltage gaugeMine is just over a quarter when the plugs are warming then nhalfway on cold start then a few seconds later just under 3/4 up
