Hi guys. Im posting a "do you have any tips for servicing/getting more out of your frontera post?" As mines is very slow, quite thirsty and will only really do 70mph......... eventually. Seems like the sayin "you can go fast I can go anywhere" really applies. Just wondered if there were any know faults or problems that they are common for other than being generally gutless. Cheers

make sure none of the pipes are split .....(especially the air box to turbo pipe ....it can get porous)

and generally give it a good service ....

Thanks, Is there a general rule of performance anywhere for the 2.3's eg what mph per gear, rev range etc and general mpg for a 1994? cheers

just found turbo problem here viewtopic.php?f=21&t=16208&hilit=turbo, Looks like same hassle as mine, going to give the pipes a good look over and clean see how it fairs.

This is what Ive discovered so far... Pipe split near the clip and distinctive residue sprayed onto pipes below. Ive taken some pics but just figurin out how to post them.....

i have been looking for a replacement for mine for over a year now .
mine split in the same place.
i have one coming from the engineer it might be worth dropping him a pm as he can fine a lot of stuff for our trucks that other folk cant

ps my truck used to look like yours until i started to go off road

Ha Ha nice one,
Hope I source one soon then. Ive done a few fords but nothing serious yet as its my only vehicle..... The kids love it tho. Had a vectra estate while this was off the road, the kids hated being low down and thought it was boring.
Im going to make a start at the scrapers tomorrow, see what condition their pipes are in until I source new ones.
The home made snorkel is another project id like to tackle.
