Engine differences

Guy's scuddmann again, can anyone tell me what the difference is between the 2.2 sport petrol and the 2.2 sport.com fronty engine? mine has a factory fitted electric fan, I ask as I am trying to work out why the .com version seems to do more MPG according to Parkers guide, any thoughts anyone?
also anyone know of any where in the south/ southeast of the UK where I can go off roading BUT NOT mudplugging, I hate getting filthy dirty in my motor, cheers, scuddmann---------------------X------------------------

drift, hi, look on the parkers guide on nline and tthis is under the Fronty part
2.2 16V Petrol 0-60 Top Speed BHP
2.2 16V Sport .COM 3d 13.3 s 96 mph 113 bhp
click on it and it will suggest a MPG figure of 31 Mpg

I might be wrong but i think its to do with the fuel Delivery, As the 2.2 16V sport.com is direct injection and the others are Multi point fuel injection see below

Also, and I realise I might be wrong here.. But would the 2.2 16v .com be the diesel by any chance?? the .com bit standing for common rail maybe??

having just looked at the figures again they are the same for the Petrol & Diesel

Me thinks that maybe Parker's have got them wrong for the petrol

yes that was my thought, that they had the wrong figures, hohum, I will need to find another way to increase the Mpg, anyone done a LPG conversion on a sport themselves?, cheers, scuddmann

it needs to be certified by a qualified installer ....

those with LPG will advise you better though
