Re: A seris liftHi,
Body lift wont help a sausage with towing as the tow hitch comes off the chassis. Suspension lift on a leaf sprung is very easy, just need a set of shackles, size of shackle controls the lift. Of course most folk off roading want extra height so they need the extension on top of normal height and I would recomend for them to buy new leaves too. If your not going off road, and its sag in the old springs, you may get away with lifting the springs pm Fuddy he has a spare set he may sell. That or get in touch with Milner off road and ask them for a price on new springs. Fronty no.4, pimp mobile Treg 3.2 LWB lifted 2.5"

Re: A seris lift
if your towing a lot i would replace rearsprings & shocks in time they settle it will be ok ![]()
Re: A seris lifti have just fitted new leaf springs to my truck from milners

Re: A seris lift
is it worth takeing off the spare wheel carrer
Re: A seris liftpersonaly only if it is faulty ie hanging off
plus you would have to find some were to store sparewheel i tow with mine on ok and ive got an alko 2004 tow hitch fitted to the van and i can hitch up with no problem
Re: A seris liftTo resolve the problem, you would probably need to replace the rear springs - that should return the rear to the correct (factory) ride height, the frot is easily done with a big spanner (tightening up the torsion bars to the dimension specified in the Haynes manual).
A body lift does just that - lifts the body away from the chassis with the only real benefit being able to fit bigger diameter tyres. If you replace the leaf shakles, you won't actually be improving the suspension, just adjusting it's ride height. This might make the caravan look level, but you will still be running on worn rear springs. Lawrence
Re: A seris liftOne question regarding ride hight while we are on the subject ....
I have a older series A and has been lifted 2" but I bet I’ve only gone up about 1" from factory height, does anyone have an comments on this one as I was thinking just leave well alone and just upgrade to 3" life or replace the torsion bars and leaf springs then put on a 3" lift. Also was the odds of snapping a torsion bar if its been adjusted for a 3" lift ???? Photo Gallery Croisiere Blanche 2008 and other stuff http://www.pc-infotech.com

Re: A seris liftit sounds like i will do rear springs found out from milner £115 inc p&p what about shackles as well as i am ender there would it be worth doing the shocks.
ive got to do the front shocks for the MOTd'oh rear has passed ok main problem is the emisions a little high the guy said it was a exhaust leak but its a brand new exhaust or is a hole else were ie cat downpipe i dont want to loose frontie i have only had i 1 year and love it
Re: A seris liftIf you put new springs in you will want regular shockers, if you decide to fit new ones.
If you add shackles for say a 2" lift you will need +2" shockers, that would also need the front lifting (easy and free) but then the front shockers want swapping to +2" also. Running lifted with shackles and wound up torsion bars on standard size shocks isnt a bad thing, you just wont have the articulation off road, I wouldnt do one without the other but a few have with no adverse reactions.
