I want to if possible fit my spare wheel to the roof bars, I have got the cross over bars on the rails. The reason is I want a ride on thule cycle rack to fit to the towbar but the spare stops this. ( I need to carry 4 bikes ) Is there a braket to clamp the spare to the bars?
Thanks BIG BILL

I can fit three bikes on my roof (astra) using "cheap" carriers. They are a channel where the wheels go, and an arm that clamps to the bike. Very simple and no damage to the bikes. #the only prob may be the height, as it is awquard on my astra. A bit like these:- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3-roof-bar-BIKE-C ... dZViewItemJames

If the spare is coming off the rear door, unbolt the spare carrier too. Get a local fabby to weld it to a plate and fix it between the roof bars. Job done.
If you good with nuts n bolts you can do a fair job of a bolt together without a fabricator.

Got a roof rack from eBay for £7 Easy fitting just 4 clamps on to the roof bars, lifted on wheel by standing on tail gate and tied it down with strong straps Is yours a solid tow bar as mine is a detachable one and don't think a bike rack will fit ![Confused :?](./images/smilies/icon_confused.gif)
