Im happy as a pig in poo! Old faithful passed the MOT yesterday. Couple of advisorys though. Both lower ball joints have some play. so Ive ordered 2 lowers and 2 uppers from milners, I figure I may as well do the lot together and it had to go through the emmissions test twice. sounds a bit dodge as I had a factory reconned engine fitted only 2 years ago. I suspect the Lambda sensor is on the way out as I service regularily and there are def no leaks or anything anywhere. Also my shiny bits arrived from the USA a couple of days ago so Ive taken some pics to show you. My old crusty number plates. And my shiny new number plates!Note my homage to the club. My new 2" Poly coil spacers. I figure with the Frontera HD springs in the back I should see between 2" to 3" with these on top and possibly when the springs go south I might stick some HD Trooper coils in there and get about 4". My new low profile bump stops. Theyre like regular bump stops with a lower profile. Funny that. My new 1/4" ball joint spacers. Oddly enough they space the ball joints a 1/4". My new stainless braided, kevlar wrapped, teflon lined, nuclear proof, Im gonna beat you round the head with these if you look at me sideways brake lines. Just need to overhaul the front and rear calipers, organise some extended shocks (pro-comp or similar) and stick it into dry-dock for a week or so to get it all fitted and working right.
I also drink Port and I'm not ashamed to say it! Me Truck

I like the idea, were the ball joint spacers off the shelf or a made to order? My altered bump stops were a lot more home made Grinders, great tools.

Ah Ha, £60 a pair for 1" going up a tenner for every extra inch. so £70 for 2". Works out roughly the same as what I paid. I feel a bit better now. The stainless looks nice though!

Righteo then, I have finally gotten round to fitting some of the shiny bits. Last couple of days were a nightmare as I lost my locking wheel nut socket and it turned into a 2 day extravaganza to get them off.
So to update:
Got the wheels off. Front passenger side ball joints are on (upper and lower), caliper is off waiting for the paint to dry so I can fit new seals, auto hub stripped, cleaned and regreased, wheel bearing thoroughly cleaned and regreased, braided brake line is fitted and both number plates are on. Only problem was the lower ball joint. I broke one of the legs on the seperator tool (cheap piece of tat) with the last blow of the lump hammer just as the ball joint seperated and had to nip into town to get another one to do the drivers side tomorrow. Also noticed that my low profile droop stops are the same height as the existing ones. They are supposed to be for a trooper/rodeo (American Frontera) so either someone had already put lower profile ones in (I doubt it though as it was a city car when I got it) or european spec frontera's have lower profile stops then american ones or troopers have bigger droop stops as standard. Either way I put them in cause they are shiny.
All in all a good days work and tomorrow I expect to have the other side done in a rather more timely manner as now I know where everything goes. As well as the coil spacers and rear brake lines. Calipers will be the longest thing though as I want 2 coats of paint on them and they need to dry for 24 hrs before using them so it will be another 2 or 3 days before Im up and running with the new kit. Although a friend has offered to clean and paint the remaining 3 calipers if I take them off first so I may get it done sooner.
Updates tomorrow evening folks so stay tuned.
So long as its fitted and nothing falls off by the 28th Il be happy.
