are there any other probs when the light comes on. eg, poor running, hesitation etc?

just done my ECT sensor and its fixed lots of little problems. In cluding poor starting a high idle and a slight miss under load.

On the dyno i see lots of problems caused by the sensor and also the air temp sensor

I am no expert but it sounds like MAF to me (Do you know of one you can borrow??) I had exactly the same problem with same vehicle.

Hi All,
Just an update really and a thaks for all your help!

I managed to get a MAF sensor and once fitted it completely transformed the vehicle and totally resolved the fault.
