After comming back from the inlaws form Christmas I checked the oil, not showing on the dipstick.
Still fired up wit enthusiam I bought a new filter and some oil. Came home ready to start, quick check on here on what is needed,
36mm socket & 45 torx and need more then 5 litres of oil. Got the torx but no socket big enuf. So pour some oil into the moter and back out for
a socket and another 5 litres of oil.
Now fully tooled up with a weekend comming along and all to my self so plan a list of jobs to do, and get a list of oh so easy peasy instructions from here.
1) Change Oil.
2) Sort out cleaning ABS
3) replace broken fog light.
4) Tighen Handbrake cable
5) Fit steel belly plates
6) Start rubbing down the nudge bar.
Ok
Job 1) Remove plastic belly plate to expose sump. Says on instructions loosen front steel plate then unscrew 2 rear
bolts on the plastic on and slide off.
fisrt part went Ok then noticed no rear attachments.
Looks like this.
Was split here too
and here as well
So as I had the new steel ones I started to paint them ready, will try to get them fitted soon as I just need to enlarge the hole enuf to get the socket thru to fit the sump gaurd.
After all that I managed to fit one fog light and clean one brake bits, but that hasnt sorted out the ABS so will have to try the other side as well.
Only thing is that when doing that I reckon that I will be needing new disks and pads soon.
So after what was a good few hours under and around the car on sat I managed to only change the oil, and replace 1 fog light, which now still need adjusting
and the rest still needs to be done
So once the shooting season finishes at the and of Jan looks like I will be back under the fronty trying to get it all sorted before somebody starts organising so laning or off roading.
