whats?the lwb fronty like in snow????hi,looks like good old shropshire is in for some snow by the end of the week(so the paper says) anyhow what is the 2.3lwb fronty like in the snow,i used to have a isuzi trooper and that was good, will the fronty be simaliar.i dont drive fast anyhow even in the dry,so speeds not an issue just traction & handling(are they prone to going sideways etc even in 4 wheel drive?) would be more than gratefull for any advice coz if & when it does snow i wanna play ha
my frontera 2.3 td is a slug in snails clothing ha
Ive had the swb and now got a lwb and had them both in the snow, I think the lwb just tips in favour due to weight, or maybe I just got better at driving in the snow
Like any car go slow, just because your in 4wd your not invincible Even on mud yesterday I lost it in 4wd and nearly went into some trees, everyone following on the muddy track laughed then I looked into my rear view mirror and even the heavily modded trucks did exactly the same thing and all nearly hit the trees, It was my turn to laugh Cautious is the name of the game. If you cant get some where on snow after a couple of attempts its unlikely you will make it as the snow will have polished or even frozen if cold enough so you have less chance, just find a new route, ain't worth sliding into some thing
And my old shorty ![]() Ste

It is a pain swapping in and out of 4wd when theres patches of slippy and parthes of tarmac.
You can drop out of 4wd without reversing and drive for a bit on the tarmac, then slip into 4wd when needed. It leaves the hubs locked, but importantly the driveshaft disengaged. Just remember to reverse a bit when your done to disengage hubs. Oh and one point always strikes me in these in the snow, they corner great in 4wd, but on winding lanes you forget about the stopping distances because it does feel a bit invincible.
