Brake Compensator/Load Sensing Vavle

Postby sristevro on Fri Oct 18, 2019 7:21 am

Hi

My Frontera B 2.2 dti Brake Load sensing Valve is leaking. I am guessing it is coming from where the actuating rod (where the spring is attached to) goes into the unit.
A genuine new one is still available from Germany @ £375. There is also a used one for sale on Ebay.

Does anybody know if a Compensator valve from a different make will do the same job? I appreciate the fitting to the vehicle would most probably be different and the pipe configuration would also have to to be changed. If say one was obtained from a similar weight vehicle would this do the job?

Open to suggestions.

Thank You

Stevro

What a out buying an adjustable brake bias valve from somewhere like demontweaks?
I considered doing this when I lifted the rear end instead of using a bracket to raise the spring mount,
Could be a cheap solution and it theory you should only need to tweak it if you have loads in the back.
