As some of you will be aware many months ago, my black V6 had sat for so long it developed alarm/immobiliser issues. I only discovered it when i put the silver one off the road, until my key refurbishment came back (wouldnt unlock with remote & neighbours wouldnt be happy with alarm going off @ 0430, when wife went to work. 3 days, No vehicle. I decided to get the Black one back as it should be, and after many days of , I ripped out the alarm powersounder. Since then it has ran sweet as a nut, I now use it with seats folded down as small van for work. 2 days ago wife comes in & said i cant get the silver car to lock ,Fkn key is @ it again,(Note: the silver one always becomes mine, if there is an issue)...Not wanting to go through the same ball ache as the black one, i took it up to auto electrician. He said he would disable it, so it just works off key. I can then look for new alarm that im happy with & he will install. We went up last night with a car each, parked the silver one near his place & drove the black one home. I took Mrs to work this morning, then up to electrician for him opening. Parked in next street & drove the silver one round. He is going to call me when its ready. I went back round for the black one, fired it up, drove away & 100 yards up the road, felt like it hit a flat spot. I looked down ,LPG off (not right, i filled yesterday) switched button....... nothing, so gas deffo off, now running on petrol. It then started to stutter, then backfire, before grinding to a halt. Oh dear (feels like 02 sensor possibly).....My point is: Why the Fk, does one frontera know when the other is off the road???

Heres how it turned out, Silver one: electrician removed alarm control unit, he said it had a bit of water & corrosion inside. He stripped it down, cleaned the contacts, sealed it up. Re soldered the key, new battery & reprogrammed, £45 . The Black one, I was too busy, tried again later to start it, but just kept turning over. Anyway, too busy to get it recovered. I left it parked up for 4 days. I went back today & phoned the AA to get it recovered to garage. As i sat there for 2hrs wondering how much this will cost me, as you do. I tried several times to start, no joy. AA man appears, i popped the bonnet, he then went to engine bay torch in hand..."Turn it over" tried again, no joy. He sighs a bit, wanders around, jumps in the drivers seat, turns it over, it fires up 1st time No splutter, F3Ck all. I asked him where can i get one of those torches
