Re: Mitsubishi shogunive now got a lwb 2.8 pajero with winter pack, awesome truck, full of gadgets and drives superb, pulls like a train, much better than a fronty in every way, only fault is its thirsty compaired to my 2.5 fronty, one good thing is you can use 4wheel high on tarmac without winding it up and you can switch on the fly, mine has full leather/electric seats, boot space is a little smaller than the fronty though due to the 7 seats.

Re: Mitsubishi shogunhave you considered the bigger brother of the x trail the pathfinder ? ive had 1 for 18 months now and i love it to bits, 2.5 diesel that pulls like a train, i average 28/30 to the gallon which aint much less than the vectra i owned before, they have all the toys if you get the right model - leather sat nav reversing camera, electric seats and 7 seats ( 05 models onwards i think ) etc, massive load space with the rear seats folded down, spares wont be cheap but nor will they be for other equivalent 4x4s. they feel proper chunky and well made and for 8k i reckon you could get an 07 with history and lowish mileage if you look around
even you wont break 1 of them rob WHY AINT I GOT AN ALL SINGING & ALL DANCING SIGNATURE LIKE BOXY & DRIFTY ?

Re: Mitsubishi shogunmy pajero is a 96 but is in much better condition than any b series frontys ive seen about,if you want a later model then there a different toy,my dad has just bought a 2005 elegance shogun model,at first he didn't like it because it just doesn't feel like or drive like his older model,he says it drives like a car

Re: Mitsubishi shogunThe mitsubishi outlander is too car like for me, still want the bulk of a 'proper' 4x4
And yeah tell me about it rob! I'm 75% going to get a 2005 or early 2006 (purely for tax reasons as after I think May 2006 the tax goes upto £500 a year from £285) jeep grand cherokee crd limited. Plenty of clean examples around with sensible milage. It has a Mercedes 3litre v6 diesel engine and auto gearbox, limited slip diffs all round, clever traction control that has the ability to potentially send all the engines power to just one wheel (if you got really stuck for example). Has loads of toys like duel zone climate control, heated leather seats, some have built in satnav, parking sensors electric folding mirrors, etc. Only draw back is that the styling isn't as nice as a land cruiser of the same age, but you get alot more bang for your buck because you can get a nice jeep for around £5k giving left over cash for mods But everyones tastes are different, but that's my 2 cents ![]() My 2.8 shorty - now sold, and comments here My old dti - now sold "Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "WOW --- What a Ride!" Re: Mitsubishi shogunI really like the Disco IV's. I think they look nice and have ALL the toys. The air suspension works really well, and makes trailer hitching a doddle. A couple of friends of mine have them and I was relieved that LR actually got their heads out of their asses and developed something which actually works .. and works well. I would have a Disco IV any day.
