2.2 sport diesel......

Hi folks,

After some advice if poss, I have decide to go for a diesel fronty with a larger engine than my current 2.0 sport.

Been watching a few 2.8's but sadly haven't had the funds before they have gone, now I still don't really have the funds but a 2.2 diesel has come up for sale very close to me.

Its taxed and tested till nov, looks in good nic and has done 150,000 miles.

Chap is asking for offers around £895, is it worth a look.

I would say can't help having a look and its all down to personal choice at the end of the day!!!

150K is fair bit for one of those engines. Whilst the asking price isn't exactly huge it could easily turn into a money pit.

With that sort of mileage you really need to be looking to see if it's still got the original engine ? If it has, has the Cam Chain and head gasket ever been done and if so when ?
Also at that kind of mileage I would have thought it would have had a new fuel pump but again worth checking as if it goes on you you'll be looking at a bill that would be similar to the asking price of the car if it goes
