Re: 2.2 vs V6as long as it has service history the engine is more likely to be good as the v6 needs good regular servicing then it will never let you and make sure the head gasket was done if needed as your looking between 800-1200 at a garage if you dont do it your self but then new engines go for up to 600 so i found it cheaper to replace lol
electrically its the usaul fronty fault wires to back door in hinge taking out wiper and central looking for the back door. other than ive only had issue with alternator but that was from where i didn't clean it after properly af a swim in a clay silt pit and even then it took a year to fail lol cheers
