Can anyone recommend any free webcam software been rebuilding my mates laptop but we are missing the software to run the webcam cheers in advance :)

what operating system you using have the right drivers

whats he want the cam software for ??? then be able to give you better advice

As above, the more info the better.

If you simply want the correct drivers and bundled software for the camera, the best bet would be the website of the laptop manufacturer. There should be a way to just get all the relevant drivers for a particular model of laptop, then download and install.
If you want it for a different purpose, elt us know and we can offer suggestions.

Hi Jim we went onto the manufactors website and downloaded the correct drivers but they did not have the pre-installed software downloads. I know on other sites like dell you can download a file to your laptop/pc which then enables you to download the pre-installed software for that machine.

The software for the camera is enirely depends of your operating system, the hardware configuration. The camera software or other software comes with your laptop or computer.
