East Herts Laning Day - 4th December

Postby BadBoy on Thu Nov 03, 2011 10:40 pm

Just as the title suggests, I'm organising a laning day in East Hertfordshire on Sunday 4th December.

Start time 10am (meet up from 9.30am) at Sainsbury's in Stevenage (SG1 4RD)

I hope to be able to stop at a pub on route for lunch (TBC), or you can bring your own packed lunch.

All lanes will be suitable for novice drivers and unmodified cars, but as with all laning, there may be a risk of scratching from hedges, or damage from grounding out etc., however depending on numbers and experience I may run a route for more experienced drivers too

If you want to join in the fun, please add your name to the list

Hi Pete. It's good to see you back
Yes it is very similar to the route we did last March with some new additions.
We did a reccy last weekend with a non modded Fronty and all the lanes are in good condition although 1 or 2 are a little scratchy in places.

Have you room for 1 more, I'm in the area that weekend and the truck is getting taxed on the 3rd so if theres space I'm up for it
I would prefer a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy.

OS map is 194.
The nearest we're going is Braughing about 5ish miles from there I think. Rob or Bobins may be able to confirm this later as I won't be able to check till next week as I'm away at the moment

Edit: I've just managed to Google it and it's about 10miles away from our intended route. Do you know a good lane near there :?: If so we may be able to add it

Rob, if you can work some of the Therfield and Sandon lanes into the route that would be great. (think we'll give Ashwell a miss though lol)
