Re: Low emission Zone... How will it affect....Doesn't affect us yet as our 4x4's are classified as cars, however it does affect the Brava's and their derivatives like Gregsters Chevy
You can check here http://www.tfl.gov.uk/roadusers/lez/177 ... ab-panel-3 by entering your reg number. Petrol cars are not covered by the LEZ either. Traffic lights in London are just rough guidelines

Re: Low emission Zone... How will it affect....hi ya
Re: Low emission Zone... How will it affect....No.
As per Badboy's post, the LEZ is (to start with at least) just for commercial vehicles, so not affecting the bulk of 4x4's. Those who have a Disco with the official LR Special Vehicles conversion, or things like that, may have a problem. There's a reg checker on TFL's website to help, but if the thing has Private / Light Goods classification, no change. Jim...

Re: Low emission Zone... How will it affect....I think it's more for pick up utility vehicles - certainly that is what the problem was for my mate. Not sure how vans fare but car like vehicles OK (initially)
Re: Low emission Zone... How will it affect....Frontera's are all classed as Estates (LWB) or Hatch (SWB)
They aren't affected by the LEZ. Anything registered on the V5c as a commercial will be subject. This includes anything with blanked rear/side windows (like the Commercial Trooper) and a pick-up bed (like the millions of crew cabs). The LEZ will be enforced on these vehicles regardless of wether it is registered privately or actually used commercially. They determine the LEZ charges on the classification of the vehicle on the V5c. There has been an extensive discussion on this on ITOC as we Isuzu drivers have all the combinations: Trooper SWB Hatch - Not subject to LEZ Trooper LWB Estate - Not subject to LEZ Trooper SWB Commercial - Subject to LEZ Trooper LWB Commercial - Subject to LEZ Rodeo Pick-up - Subject to LEZ Rodeo Crew-cab - Subject to LEZ As always this is only accurate at time of wrinting. To double check use this website to confirm: http://www.tfl.gov.uk/roadusers/lez/177 ... ab-panel-3 ![]() ![]() My members ride For Banshee the Trooper : viewtopic.php?f=46&t=34626 My members ride for Leeloo the Lotus Edition viewtopic.php?f=46&t=60154 Deceased My members ride for Brenda the Bighorn : viewtopic.php?f=46&t=54771

Re: Low emission Zone... How will it affect....My trooper/bighorn thing. Will do the reg check. Had at least 2 letters so far. Doesn't bother me as I don't ever go to the big smoke anyway.

Re: Low emission Zone... How will it affect....Jim.
Does your V5 say its an estate or a commercial. In fact being a Bighorn its an import and the person registering it obviously got it wrong, and either missed out that information or the DVLA didn't know and decieded to go greedy and charge you.. You can get a letter of IM stating it isn't a commercial and gget the DVLA to update the V5. In fact VOSA cuold do an inspection I think and supply the same letter. Vosa will charge you £40 though. ![]() ![]() My members ride For Banshee the Trooper : viewtopic.php?f=46&t=34626 My members ride for Leeloo the Lotus Edition viewtopic.php?f=46&t=60154 Deceased My members ride for Brenda the Bighorn : viewtopic.php?f=46&t=54771

Re: Low emission Zone... How will it affect....Says PLG and 4x4 light utility on thr reg doc, so not down as commercial. Perhaps its more a personal vendetta against me and not the vehicle, my past is catching up on me
Can I have 100's and 1000's on mine please Neal ![]()
Re: Low emission Zone... How will it affect....It will be the "4x4 light utility" thats got ya Jim . It should read "Estate" I will scan mine and show you what I mean tonight.
