I know but, I think i missed something

I know but, I think i missed something

Postby jontera on Sat May 07, 2011 6:30 pm

sorry...I think I may have missed something..

I'm sure that somewhere there, on the forum, there was a post regarding an honesty box at the BBQ..

now I might have missed it, but I can't remember it being mentioned or seeing it (mind at some points i can't remember seeing much or actually knowing my own name)

my feeling is, a lot of work, expence went into making it all happen ..like a decent BBQ, (those who don't know the one provided..you wouldn't have cooked your worst enemy on it..) + a whole load of grub.

did I miss any donation collections?..don't want the Forum to be out of pocket/ skint..I know there is a hell of a lot of stuff that is done "behind the scenes" that cost's..with out the admin/mods and members this site and events wouldn't happen..

sorry, I feel a little guilty..(i know there is the paypal donation thing)..it's just me..

i felt guilty.so i paypaled a donation..just it aint the same

In no way am i trying to get people to feel like i do..do it if you want to..

in all honesty, it's just the way i feel..FOG is a great site, and I don't want folk to be out of pocket..my time and bits(dirty boy..andy) are free (don't tell the wife that).i now know some really great people that I call friends, because of this site. long may it continue.

FOG made this all happen, long may it live

sorry Box, I was sitting here thinking about the weekend and how much fun it was. Was convinced that was going to be a collection thing, mainly regarding the BBQ food..that was before the site had to buy an actual BBQ..

even the wife asked "£40?....2 BBQ's, Camping and the off road site.. Bargain you can go there next year!"

then she said "wanna buy a caravan, so i can come next year?"...answer.."you wanna divorce"..answer to both "NO"

just guilty really, FOG do a great job in arranging these things (the offroad/ laning days) but don't often get much back..I know these things don't always happen for free, life aint like that..

silly I know............it's just me

shouldn't have started a thread..should have done PM..Sorry folks..my bad

I didn't go to the bash, wish I had after all the things I've read and seen. I agree with the above and was only thinking the other night when the forum had a server problem that somebody was giving their time to put it right. There must be expenses when things go wrong that need repairing or replacing, who pays for that?. To that end I too will be making a donation via paypal. I have not been a member for long but have met and corresponded with others on here who have been friendly and helpful and seem like mates I've known for years. I am also on another biker forum but the attitude and banter is so bad that I rarely visit to make a post. This forum/club is outstanding.

once again, there was no honesty box, due to the fact, we tied the price in to every thing, but if you want to donate to the site, please do,
