Re: sport sThe sport S has the coil suspension and newer engine, it also has the newer uprated dash and a few extras inside
The sport S started at 1995 but there are a few 2.8 sport S of that age with the uprated suspension and old dashes in common with the 2.8 LWB. Ste

Everything is possible until you stop to think about it.

Re: sport sKen, all sport S's had the 8 valve 20L engine
That looks very much like the sport S Rod, but they definitely (as far as I know) didnt have them as leaf sprung. I reckon some one has spent a few bob and given the truck a makeover, and nice it looks too. The Sport S Apache didnt come with roof bars as standard they where optional, I think the Sport S Niagara was the same, hence most with these models hunting SWB roof bars Ste

Re: sport sAlso it looks like they dropped the word "sport" from the back of the SWB, and also the "i" from 20.i, a bit strange that

Re: sport sMy sport is a 1998 (March) Transglobe, coil springs, soft nudge bar with spots, side protection rubbers, roof bars, three spoke alloy wheels, curved dash and drivers air bag with the X20SE engine, and apparently there were a couple more options when bought new i.e. six spoke alloys, heated front seats, air con, passengers air bag and ABS, and I think that was about all, unless someone knows different

Re: sport scan only find a hand full of pics of the old motor but none are usefull [sorry]. did notice that my 97 sport has grab handels on the roof in the rear but dont rember the 95 having them but could be wrong. starting to think that my old 95 was a sport with the sport s stickers.
i once bought a brand new astra from vx it was a 1.6 l and there was a option at the time where you could have alloy wheels/ side skirts / front spliter and front fogs added. i went for this option and when i went to pick the new car up it was no longer badged as L it was now a vxl or vlx [ cant rember ] but mabey thats what happend with the wee 95 sport too as it was 95 when the sport s came out. mine could have been a 94 that sat around for a year in a vx wharehouse. my 3.1 fly's by the 3.0's like there ther sitting still. coz the most of them are.
