Re: 4x4 Snow Ice Mud Escaper Tyre Traction TracksGood idea, only manufacturing and cost could be the problem and what would you use for the linkages?

Re: 4x4 Snow Ice Mud Escaper Tyre Traction TracksSome small bales of straw or hay will get you out of most things.
Don't forget to cut the string before you spread them in front of the wheels but. If you need something done quickly just ask a busy woman then get the f"k out of her way.
Re: 4x4 Snow Ice Mud Escaper Tyre Traction TracksThat may just negate the suspension lift

Re: 4x4 Snow Ice Mud Escaper Tyre Traction TracksBit of 6mm bar with a plate weded on it. Weld a bump stop behind it to stop it from opening more than 90degrees. Remember 6mm fillet weld 1 inch long will hold a ton. These things are going to have to be around 10" wide for most tyres out there.

Re: 4x4 Snow Ice Mud Escaper Tyre Traction TracksI think flexi thin waffles would work, but its the links between the sections that are the weak point. Ste

Re: 4x4 Snow Ice Mud Escaper Tyre Traction TracksCould each part of a waffle board be a seperate section with an angle on each edge if needed that join together using a dovetail joint to stop them from slipping apart if the wheels spin
Re: 4x4 Snow Ice Mud Escaper Tyre Traction TracksThats fine on a flat surface but it could be a problem on uneven surfaces, also it could split apart and fire from under the wheel like a missile when the wheel spins.
