Re: Snow WatchWe've had a bit in N Lincs and I've been over to sheffield today and they've had a bit as well.
Coming back tonight the temp thing went down to -4.5 at the lowest. Windsreen wash was freezing as it hit. The heated nozzles worked well though. Cheers Alan Alan

Re: Snow WatchThe snow's getting crazy up in Aberdeen! Just had about 6" fall in the last 3 hours. Police are advising that no roads are passable. Cars stuck all over the place. I rescued a few and gave an elderly couple a lift home cos there were no taxis or buses and they had about 5 miles to go. Even had the police close the motorway while i pulled somebody off the central reservation of the motorway out of aberdeen after they span out. My good samaritan acts for the day
One thing i've never seen before is thunder and lightning in a blizzard!?! Apparently its been knocking power out all over the place! When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

Re: Snow WatchCrikey!!
We went to grimsby to tesco earlier and our road had a bit but the main road was clear. About 50 mins doing a shop and came out to find 2 to 3 inches everywhere!!!! Main roads were clogged and even the motorway out was covered well!! The truck was ace though. Even in 2wd mode the BFG AT's were great. Stuck like the proverbial. Gently cruised through the fresh non slippy stuff in the outer lane (much less slippy than the compacted stuff in the inner lol) and only had to flick the 4wd on when we came to the country roads to get home as you had to guess on the middle as it was solid across. Shreds took a couple of pics on her phone so will see how they come out. Been snowing all afternoon so we up to about 5 to 6 inches now! Shreds is a nurse and is on nights tonight so she has taken the truck to work as I think she would have struggled in her normal car. Just hope she makes it back in time in the morning for me to go to work. Think her boss thought she might ring in to say we are snowed in (one of the reasons for having the truck). Good news is I've tempted her to the dark side and she now quite fancies a SWB lol. Have to start looking for a b diesel sport for her now lol!! Cheers Alan Alan
