another fun day out!!

guess we spent more time doing recovery than driving but that is a challenge in itself. pleased to see i've managed to learn something from lloyd, hit the trees with your car = now much narrower = easier to fit through the gaps next time = perfect logic :D

really impressed with Pete, the tyres and the diesel torque really seem to be ideal combination. nice to see kel's new 2.8, v.tidy and despite expectation the dumper tyres didnt rip the mudflaps off

excellent to see gareth again (and now i know how to rewind a winch drum!!!) cant wait to see videos and more importantly his new lexus do the woods

always a pleasure to be in greg and sals company, so thanks as always.

well my truck has left a nice little pile of mud at work - just marking its territory - and all seems ok still, now just need to set aside some time for its christmas goodies to be added

hope everyone was ok on monday and my cooking didnt affect anyone too much  still with the amount we had left over i can always try again....

greg - where are we planning to pitch the tents on weekender, be interested to know so can start to think which tent(s) to bring (and try and unravel following the last, frustrating attempt at putting them away after a festival bender) could be missus 2much and Caleb coming along...

Funny you should mention the mudflaps Steve, One of the rear ones was rubbing quite badly and has been distorted so will be getting removed soon as I get a chance to clear all the mud that has stuck to everything in the arches. Looks better without them anyway especially when lifted...

Glad everyone enjoyed themselves....was a tadge muddy....

Camping....in answer to your question Steve...
We are planning to use the area thats not driven on between the bbq site and the lower entrance to the woods....Kinda where I parked the chevy on sunday and across to where the track comes in the bottom of the woods...is pretty dry this area and not churned up...Pete, sal and I cleared it all at the last workday...
The landowner has Ok'ed for caravans to use the bottom of the grassed field next to the woods, as its unlikely that we will get the entrance graded and the woods caravan proof with all the mud before the weekender...

This addition shows the stills that Steve, my co-pilot took.
Reckon these piccies give a good illustration of the quality of mud up at site.
These pics show the original bomb hole with me braking my duck and getting stuck in. Cheers to Greg and the lads on applying weight on the drive wheel and the final push out. Order of last Sunday was muscle power to do some of the extractions.

These pics give a view of the horse-shoe.
This run now gives some interesting attempts and bits back. That's my rear quarter panel window in a thousand pieces on the ground.

Going to follow on with a couple of small vids on the next reply, because I've lost this once trying to upload the vids.

Top vid is Steve at the wheel doing the approach and then up over the final bank of the newest bomb hole. Vid taken on phone by Sam, Steve's son on their first visit to our picnic day.
Image
Found the following vid on my photobucket, and felt it worth adding because it shows Kel in Kit doing the inaugural descent of the famous Krusher's Revenge, at must for any visitor to the site, when the conditions allow.
