Hi All,
I work round the corner from a Europarts distributor so I asked them best oil for my 2.2 petrol 02 plate.
They say cheapest and best is Carlube 10W/40 semi synthetic. I am not to keen on cheapest but wondered as to the fact that this is 10W/40.
Does anyone have any opinions or advice ?ie bets viscocity and such

I would say with almost dead certainty that most 2.2's have been serviced with 10w/40 semi synthetic from new. This seems to be the standard oil at most garages, main dealer or independent unless a specific oil is required for your vehicle.
