2.8 fuel usage

Ive been clocking my fuel on this last tank, not looking to bad considering its only been doing 12 miles a day for a week and weekend before that did around a 200 mile trip same tank, now at 285 miles with this much left in the tank
Taking modifications into consideration

HHmm adding some acetone and millers has improoved mine, but not that much. Lets see what the de-cat does.

dont know about you ste, but since owning the 2.8 i have found that i have a lead foot, and can not lift it of the go pedal

Do all the right tweaks Andy and you dont need the lead foot to get there as quick.

Got down to just slightly above the red, did 398 mile and put 63 Litres in.
Up to the top both fill ups.

I was getting 28.72 MPG with modifications and a lot of short daily trips this last two weeks and Ive not been thrashing it but not to careful either, Im well chuffed

Your figures tally nicely with the figures I get , school run twice a day , a run out to the woods with the dog 7 times a week and I get about 400 miles per tank (not including reserve ) once ran it down as far as I dared and it cost nearly £80.00 to brim it .

yeah they are good on fuel .
im getting less than that out of my "55" reg 2.4 td transit and worse from my 2.5 td minibus .
i think i will have to get the swb out of the lock up and back on the road .its been off the road for almost a year now .
