Re: is there more members in to Amateur radio on fogI could try on any band you like but i am only using a 66ft long wire with a 10:1 Un Un whch is facing East and West so might not be a very good signal
Me thinks i'll have to get round to putting a vertical drop in the wire.
Re: is there more members in to Amateur radio on fogI have a vertical for 2mtrs and 70cms mounted 20 feet up in the air.
I can sometimes work through the Bristol Channel Repeater(GB3BC) when the conditions are right. Can you reach the North Devon Repeater (GB3DN) from your location?
Re: is there more members in to Amateur radio on fogI like that copper J pole, it reminds me of a 9ft copper home brew I had back in the 80s, mounted on the rear wing of me old escort.
Well if we are discussing antennae, Ive got an original G3TPW CobWebb Antenna for the 14, 18, 21, 24 and 28 MHz Bands , A Watson Tri Band Colinear for 6m/2m/70cm, A Solarcon IMAX 2000 for 10 - 15 mtrs and a wire dipole for 11meters. The radio is a Yaesu 857D.
