The fuel gauge on my 2.8 is not working!!!

The needed is right off the bottom and non moving and the warning light is not on.

I would gues there is no power going to it.

Check you have a good earth conection

Did mine at the weekend, it had a broken wire on the sender unit in the tank. My fuel light was on all the time though.

did you check the multi plug at the rear ?

There is a multy pin plug hanging down buy the tow bar electrics but dont think that is for the fuel tank.
