what do you use your fronty for

We got our fronty because the vectra we had didn't like reversing the caravan and the smell of burnt clutch lingered for days after. So we traded in the Vectra for a 2.2 dti 1999 and with it being our only car we use it to commute, go shopping, tow our 25'11 twin axle caravan, it's also towed cars off sites who were stuck in mud and it's also great for taking stuff to the tip

i use my fronty mainly for towing my twin axle caravan, i have been known to take it off road when my offroader isnt going. fronty is off the road at the moment getting a 2.8td isuzu lump fitted

Ensuring that my local Texaco filling station will never go out of business

Ensuring that my driveway has more mud on it than the flowerbeds

Ensuring that 70mph travel, costs more, per hour, than I earn

Ensuring that I always feel the need to buy a larger hammer

Ensuring that rust will never become an endangered species

Ensuring that my neighbours experience less tyre wear, due to the liberal quantity of friction reducing mud in my road

Ensuring that my neighbours experience being waken at dawn by the sound of an angle grinder

Ensuring that I never have to wait to get let out of a side road or onto a roundabout

Ensuring that all DVLA employees get a big fat filthy bonus each year

Ensuring that jay walking insects and small rodents stand a 50/50 chance due to the Mud Terrain tyres

Ensuring that anyone parked stupidly close behind me is at serious risk of roof or window damage from my rear bumper

Ensuring that I never forget the experience of the clunky buttons on my first cassette player (frontera A)

Ensuring that I always look for things in the least obvious place first (frontera A window switches...why not on the door-BY THE WINDOW!!)

Ensuring that I only ever get to change the N/S headlight bulb, as the O/S is far too easy to get to

Ensuring that it will rain whenever I risk leaving the "sport's" hardtop and windows at home

Ensuring that moped riders feel more vulnerable than ever (no more than they deserve)

Ensuring that Landrover owners are able to feel somewhat superior,even though their vehicles were designed in the 50's,are worse value for money than Heather Mills and break more than a crash test dummy with brittle bones disease.

and finally....

Ensuring that its always my bloody mobile that rings at 2am when one of my mates is stuck/broken/sinking!!!!

I use mine as a 2nd car, towing & anything else that the world & I can throw at it!!! Iv had it for 3 years now & never given me any trouble no matter what iv asked it to do!!! I wouldnt swap it for the world!!!!

I use mine as a second car however as I live in London and have a company car too I have two choices

1 Sell her
2 Sorn her put her away in my garage and work on her.

Problem is I have two years in London and am probably going to Germany after that and dont think she will pass her BFG inspection.
so what do I do?

Only had her a couple of weeks so nothing yet! but the intention is for geting to shoots, transporting my dog and generally using it when I don't want to get my car dirty!!

Mine takes her to work everyday.......motorway most of the way ie 60 miles per day. Rest of the time it is used to tow the horse trailer. Does it OK, as good as the Discovery I used to have. However, this one is quiet and smooth, where as the Disco sounded like an old tractor

Only got mine yesterday but it will be used every weekend to carry surf boards,wet suits and all the gear we seem to have take with us.Also in the cold winter months could well be used as a changing room.Hope is has a good heater.

HI all.

I had to replace my V6 omega, family out grew the car.

I needed something big, but not to big to restrict me on holdays (mainly Parking), economical (deisel), and I would like to drive (I do a lot of driving). Looked at various estates and 4x4, never thought of a frontera. Saw one adverticed locally, and snapped it up. It was the best car I've bought.

There is plenty of room for my partner and I, my two kids and the three dogs I currently have ( one being a German Shepherd).

Even my partner is enjoying it.................must be doing something right then.

Shooting mainly but also playing in a few green lanes etc so a bit of a toy for me really altho im already debating a second doggier frontera to play with more for more "proper" off road use.
