Brachunky appeal day

Just wondering if there is any interest in doing some kind of laning or p+p day in aid of the above appeal. That event is abit far to go for us southerners so was just wondering if we could hold somthing to raise money and send on. The only site I know of is Baldhu which is about 2hrs drive from me but still close enough to make it worth while. I think John(meeooo) would be able to get some details as to cost of the site for a day etc. Perhaps a joint effort with the Hampshire possey. Any ideas, plans, suggestion add'em to the mixing pot :D

Can still take part even if it means being passengers. Doesn't have to be p+p, could just be a social get together, do those lanes near you, pick-nik on the moors everyone chips in a few ££, every little helps and a good day should be had.

How far to Salisbury plane ?????

too far perhaps?

I wouldn't mind trying some of Carls lanes....not too far to travel in the current climate and the dogs could have a run on the moors too.

Maybe we could have a "get Carls truck back on the road appeal". People could donate odd nuts and bolts and nice shiny things and then we can go laning on the plains

Sounds like a good idea. The Vauxhall Off Road Club used to use the Plains a fair bit in the mid 90's. Had a number of trips there.

Possible plains trip sounds cool. Will wait for Carl to get up and running and go from there. Do you know the area at all Mark?

there is a guy on the surf forum lives near/on the plain and arranges outings...threatened to get me out there once as punishment for extracting the michael about something............me

Anyway, I'm sure he would be willing to take a group out there.......if only to try humiliating Fronty owners :) :)

Theres another in Plymouth area too, apparantly there are lanes from Plymouth to Torbay area without using the main roads, one of Vospers reps has a Landy and knows the routes down there too.....but HER :!: Landy is off the road due to MOT etc.......just like Carl :)

Sounds like we may be able to get a few together for this then, would it be best to wait until the holiday season is out of the way and does anyone have any knowledge of the plain?

I have made an approach to one of the guys on Surf site who appears to be involved with most of their Plains runs, just to see if he would be interested in taking us out there.....awaiting his laughter and ridicule........
