Looking to buy a PC but typically the one I want the seller won't post so looking for someone to collect and get to me via fog express or post it via courier.

For my sins I work in Hastings which is 30 odd miles from Newhaven.
If you get really stuck Brian, potentially I could collect from Newhaven for my diesel money and get it as far as Tunbridge Wells.
Alternatively, have you investigated remote courier collection at your expense and risk?

Ah mate that would be brilliant there'd obviously be a drink in it as well as expenses. I'll keep searching though as understand it's a fair bit out of your way.

Offers there when and if Brian
Seriously though mate, have you had a look at the remote collection. I used to do it quite a lot when I had access to a FedEx account. Reckon for one carton that would have cost £10-£15 collected and delivered to yours. Of course, you would need the co-operation of the seller to securely parcel it up and co-operate with the courier company collection. Worth a thought albeit with the risk of breakage.

He won't have to Brian - you source a parcel courier company that you pay to collect from the seller's address - could even be his work address for convenience sake - then courier company deliver to yours - hence the term remote courier collection.
As said earlier, you would need the co-operation of the seller to securely parcel it up for you and once the courier collect from him, thats it as far as he concerned. The cost and the risk are all yours.
Do you know anybody that as got access to a FedEx, TNT etc. account that you could utilise and then pay them to cash?

Shuve comes to push I could ask my new employer if I could pay the money and send on their TNT account. Not so easy as the previous scenario when I used to be able to use FedEx but I can ask the question. I would still need to collect in person from Newhaven. Let me know how it pans out if you've got alternative options Brian but I can still help out if needs be.
