GWR Attempt, What is the Record

Hi,

Just reading through some of the details and a question came to mind.

What does the record stand at at the moment?

Could it be a good idea to place details on the Front Page of the Forum so its in peoples face , Eye Catching i realy mean.

Hi Malc, there isn't a record set yet so as long as 2 of us turn up jobs a gooden as they say, we will be record breakers !!!!!! :dance:

that's right mate. there is a few posts saying that the Evo club are going for the record and so are the subaru club, they will only set records for Mitsubishi and Subaru respectively. GWR will only allow a record to be set for specific marques, eg. Vauxhall and as yet no record for Vauxhall has been set.

TVR had over 500 last year but it does not affect us

the record attempt is just frontera's (SWB & LWB ..A & B series)

Just to clarify the gwr attempt is definatley for frontera's, Ian may have said vauxhall in his posting but i think he was pointing out what others were doing, and as we are fronty owners its going to be a fronty gwr !

here is the definative answer.................

The record that we will be setting is "Longest Parade of Same Marque Vehicles (Vauxhall)" so in theory, yes a Vauxhall Cavalier would count in the total regardless of where abouts in the parade it is. However, we are the Frontera Owners Group and would like to set the record with Fronteras not any old Vauxhall. At the very least I would only want to stretch it to Vauxhall 4x4's ie. Fronteras, Montys, Bravas and Antaras :sick:

and before anyone suggests it, not the Cavalier 4x4.

The evo club will be setting the record for Mitsubishi and i know for a fact that there will not be any shoguns or starions involved because they are the Evo club, therefor it will just be Lancers going round.

I hope this clears up any uncertainties.

a clarification please ! on my car i wear an isuzu badge on my grill in respect for the engine and box i put in ,but still have the griffin on the bonnet, will i wear a vauxhall badge on the grill for this instead or can i leave the isuzu badge on ?? sorry if i sound pedantic but .....

aye its a vauxhall on the logbook ! i only changed the engine size from a 2.3 to a 2.8 and swansea just printed it ! i was reading the pdf on the rules and noticed something about cars had to be vauxhall and not varients ! it'll be right .....

you'll be fine even with a ferrari badge as long as it's a vauxhall on the log book mate

Just a thought, As i know we are going to set a record. where will this be recorded, and would it end up in the big book we all had as kids,guiness records 2009 or something,
