Ok ... left work today and the fan decided that it was bored after 22 years of spinning round and round. Instead it decided that it would venture forth and try pastures new. Well 1 and 1/2 blades did and proceeded to punch a hole in my radiator. That was 1 mile from work. Thank Christ that the 2.8 is a cold running engine. Filled a couple of bottles with water and limped her home all 43 miles, topping as I went.

Long and short of it is I am going to have to pull out of this one. Cannot get the time off work, and need to source parts. Earliest I can possibly make it (if I can get a new rad and fan) will be late Saturday, and I cannot stay later than Sunday afternoon. I am annoyed to say the least. Was really looking forward to it as this week has gone from bad to worse, and its only Wednesday :cry:

I will adjust the supplies list accordingly as I was going to bring some stuff.

Gutted mate...

Just hope you can get the bits for Banshee without too much trouble and expense.

On a related note, while I was planning on bringing some extra dead stuff as well as the charcoal, the supplies list is still looking a bit bare.
Sorry if this sounds like nagging, but the BBQ only works if everyone pitches in, so would those that haven't already consider having a look; even if you're planning on bringing stuff it'd be useful to know this.

Well we will be leaving here about 10 for a slow ride down with Audra Reese and 2 collies so a few stops I gather and then I have to find it lol. But no mankini and don't think I will be having much of the old hol to drink as I am trying to be good

I need to get the truck fixed for work. I am going to have to use the Astra for tomorrow to get to work (though will spill about 1/2 litre of oil due to a leak). Fortunately I am getting a hire car from work for the next week as I am working on site for a few days. I really need to get Banshee on the road again ASAP and this weekend is the only opportunity I will have as I need her the weekend after.

I am on the hunt for bits as we speak.

Well I have sourced a fan, and potentially a radiator, but cannot collect until first thing Saturday. If things go to plan I might be able to get there for midday/early afternoon. If not I will be down the pub drowning sorrows.
