Workshop gathering...

Gonna be up the workshop sunday all day sorting the clutch on the 2.8lwb if anyone fancy's coming down and hitting stuff with big hammers, or possibly having a go with the gas-axe if it all goes pearshaped!

Could use another pair of hands getting the box back in if anyone is around...

Am getting rather familiar with the 2.8 'box removal process, heh. The mother booked my presence tomorrow though, dinner and clearing the loft out. Hopefully it shouldn't be too bad mate, especially if the underside of the motor's not had so much offroad abuse as mine.

Greg - You've caught me between 'green card' issue days. Been waiting for the 11th hour to see if I can get a reprieve from today's proceedings, but no luck I'm afraid. That said, if you need a hand at the critial bar-stewards points, i.e. lifting out and lifting back in, I'll see what I can do regarding getting over for a couple of hours by torchlight (deffo not today though I'm afraid).
I'm up at Paul's next Sat re his cam belt - but if that all goes well, I will be able to pop down after we've finished if that helps.

Gearbox is out....and DMF is well and truly kernackered....

Break it or fix it is now the dilemma... :shock:

Well done Steve for popping up to lend a hand, and the pair of you for getting the 'box off.
I think I might actually have preferred that to faffing about with insulation and whatnot in Mum's loft.

I say fix, as surely a DMF (or solid flywheel conversion) can't be too costly, and it's a good motor otherwise.

I would have to agree with Jim, FIX IT as it's a good motor and you'd regret otherwise

I do feel for people working on their trucks in the cold and wet...was too hot in a t-shirt!!!
