The routes we used last time were not damaging in any way if you were worried about killing your fronty, they were just muddy but some good scenery and a fun day, can I get you to reconsider??? Its not that I'm seriously fussed, I just dont want to bugger up my car just before Christmas when it will be nigh on impossible to get parts to repair or find a car to replace it ...
Will think about it Currently on Frontera No.3..
ES9000's, 3" Suspension lift, Kumho 834 MT's.
Neither me mor Si are into anything too extreme, the lanes are fun but not in any way damaging, we both have to use our cars for work so do not wish to break them either!!!!
Let us know if you decide to come, Rick 2001 Discovery ES TD5 (EGR Bypass, De CAT, General Grabber AT2 Rubber) 2000 Fronty SWB RS 2.2 Petrol (LSD Model)......RIP Insa Turbo Sahara Boots Maycom EM-27 CB SS100HF Safari Snorkel 3" Lift (LA Supertrux) 200BHP MGF and '04 MGZR 160
Too right mate.. we can't afford to kill our Fronty's, so it's easy days of green laning and the odd small ford etc..
I'm currently uploading some very short avi files to youtube for you to see the sort of lanes we around talking about.. No fear of destroying the Fronty or even damaging it, the most you might get is a few scratches from overhanging trees and possibly some mud Anyone else interested, still got 2 vehicle places and a few spare seats so far? Rick, I've got a couple of local kids who want to come for the fun and was wondering if you'd like a passenger, or is the significant other coming? And do you want to stay over here for the night, could mean drinking a few beers and eating some pizza? Si www.4x4search.org - your 4x4 search engine. 100% human submitted and edited!
Oh by the way, those local kids are my landladies son and his friend..
The daughter might well choose to go as well, but I don't know. They are the ones I've got to babysit, they're all good kids and can open gates www.4x4search.org - your 4x4 search engine. 100% human submitted and edited!

That's another one.. Some of the others came out with crappy video/sound, the next lot won't have any sound but my old XdaII seems to have a problem with saving the video onto the memory card without it juddering These vids were saved onto the onboard memory and I've got a couple from the day before which were ok as well (when I did a test run of the lanes). Rick,
No worries about not stopping over mate.. be good to meet your missus As long as she doesn't scream in fear too often, HAHAHA. You didn't tell me about going down to the forest, have to fill me in on that one, I want to go play down there soon.. Tomorrow if I have time I will go check out another couple of lanes nearby, I want to go and walk Water Lane which is the one that I said is known as Hampshires most difficult lane.. I'm not going to drive it, but I might walk it. What do you think of the little vids? Si www.4x4search.org - your 4x4 search engine. 100% human submitted and edited!

hi simon i'm the mod for this area .............. what do you want editing???????
Nothing inparticular mate, but it'd be good to have edit enabled in all sections of the forum... bit of a pain when you need to add things to the previous post.
Not that I mind making new posts and getting a better postcount though.. perhaps I'll get a better tagline that way. Si www.4x4search.org - your 4x4 search engine. 100% human submitted and edited!
I went to check out what is affectionately known as Hampshire's HARDEST lane and the advisory that comes with it is: BODY DAMAGE VERY LIKELY.
I drove down a small section of it, got out and walked in the mud and water for a little while and saw WHY it's got a reputation... half way down the lane it suddenly drops to have about a 3 foot difference between the two halves of the track which means you'll be very overbalanced followed by the fact that there is a high side on the downside of the lane and if your vehicle slipped only a little bit then you'll end up embedded in the rock studded wall... I then trudged back to the car, drove a little further down to where I could turn around and drove out. The following picture is taken at the very bottom end of the lane and shows that the lane is flowing with water. It's obviously the reason why this is called Water Lane. It's right near to Alton. www.4x4search.org - your 4x4 search engine. 100% human submitted and edited!
well your more than welcome to come up and try it out mate..
I'll walk along behind and video it, hehehe Unfortunately I didn't take my camera when I walked along the bad part of the lane, I might get another chance soon though. Si www.4x4search.org - your 4x4 search engine. 100% human submitted and edited!
you could come up on the 9th if you like
Then you can play in our other lanes... www.4x4search.org - your 4x4 search engine. 100% human submitted and edited!
