I like option 2. My frontera is also standard but would like to try a few lanes.

 If the consensus is the laning I would lay money that there will be more than one "shotgun seat" vacant

I was keeping my fingers crossed!

Yeah... Way to add pressure to my first meet, lol - not just locals, but somebody coming from halfway up the country, hehe...

Still, if all goes well, it'll be fun, and the first of many with any luck

Well, it's looking promising for the 31st then. I've got some route idea sorted out, just need to do a recce on some lanes, which is slated for the weekend of 17th/18th as that's when my holidays start, then we're pretty much good to go. Once that's done, details'll go up, and I'll be asking people to confirm (or in the case of gate-openers that bribery in the form of biscuits can be sorted  )

However, a thought occurs here...
How're people set for things like CB or PMR radios??? I have, plus a couple of PMR's I think, so if there's at least one more CB set for the back of the group, that ought to be fine.

Yeah, I believe we can fit you in mate  Will actually be something of a novelty for me to be on local stuff too, given that I usually tootle off to Alton or Basingrad for laning.

I should think so mate... I'm not planning on anything majorly aggressive, and there's always gonnae be somebody about in case of difficulties. Recce'll happen shortly, with results posted. Greenlanes, to be fair, usually aren't too much of a problem for standard cars, but they are something you can't contemplate in a regular family hatchback.

Watch this space folks.
