hello all

Hey guys just bagged myself an M Reg 2.8 TDI in flat red with 180,000 on the clock, good truck and pulls very well, lots of squeeks to sort along with some rusty patches but I know it will be tidy when Im done. I did have a Paj but my word it was thirsty and didnt pull like my fronty does. Was very tidy though.

I had it for five years and Im gutted I sold it, got a new one now but Im focusing on the fronty at the moment. Just changed the heater matrix and did it without taking the dash out totally :dance:

Look forward to getting to know you guys and learning about the fronties properly. lots to do and no money to do it with. I will take some pics of my frontera tomorrow and get them uploaded, I havent seen many at all in a flat red, always been the maroon red.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I thought Id better post up some pics of my fronty. Needs a clean and a bit of a tidy up round the edges but I will get stuck into that in spring. You can probably see my other project in the background.

Few things I need to get sorted soon, I desperately need to get rid of play in the steering wheel and bleed the clutch. Oh and the suspesion is squeeking, A whole lot of lubing up required.

Thanks again for the welcome's. I have had loads of fun with my frontera this week, I lost a brake pad completely :shock:

I though the metal plate would still of been in place but nope. The calpier was touching the disc and that is what was stopping me. I lost all braking for a while and had a very scary moment.

I went to my parts supplier gave my reg No and came back with pads, started stripping down the brakes to find out they gave me the wrong ones, so I put it all back as it was so I could exchange them for the right ones and then on the way there the piston came out

long story short I got it sorted after a load of hassle. I did bleed the brakes but it still feels a bit spongey, so Im gona get my mate to help in the next few days and I may as well bleed the clutch as well because that feels a bit stiff.

Need to fix my zuast aswell and get my spot lights wired up too. Forever chasing jobs on old motors.

hi there bud, should be plugs behind the grill already for the spots, nice n easy that job! :thumbup:
