Hi to you all i thought i would say hi as im new to the forum, and i would like to say that i am a proud owner of frontera 2.2 16v transglobe until the timing jumped and it went bang after a week and half of ownership, oh well i am know after a complete engine to put it back on the road, if anyone knows of one going cheap then please let me know, incidently does anyone know if the Omega 2.2 engine will fit the frontera kind regards dean

Welcome to the site Deano, bad luck on the engine there I dont know the answer to your question (being a 2.8 owner) but if you make a thread in the 2.2 petrol section (here) and post your question there, someone will soon be along with the answer.
This posting may have been helpfull, on the other hand probably not... Either way, I may have had drink when posting it in which case it's probably not as helpfull as it could have been
Work safe, and remember all technical problems can be resolved with a hammer, the trick is knowing where to hit it and how big a hammer to use (I often find it may also help to have a spare bit in the shed to replace the bit you have just mullered
)

Owning a 2.8 is a hobby in it's self...

Shame about your 2.2 mate it would be cheaper,to rebuild the head,then replace the engine,also so peace of mind as well
