Howdy Buddy! Its starts with a 1" lift then you go further and further. Big wheels means bigger lift. 2" lift on the 2.3 is about the easiest you can do. Set of extended shackles for the rear leaf springs will set you back about £50 and a day to fit and adjust the front torsion bars. All the information is here on the forum and more to read on the FOG wiki: http://www.fronteraowners.co.uk/wiki/in ... /Main_Page

They are the stock shackles ... all leaf sprung vehicles have them ... as you said bolt on the front shackles on the back. Extended shackle replace the current ones meaning the truck rides higher at the back ... there are two bolts (one eitherside) under the truck inline where the doors meet. There is a long metal bar that goes from this bolt to the front suspension. Thats the torsion bar. The bolt I mentioned can be turned (with great difficulty) to raise the front.

The ride will surprise you it makes it more responsive. you can go 2" at the front and you will need to cut your bump stops by a centimeter. These are extended rear shackles :- Dead easy to fit with the right tools.

I know this is an old post but anyone know where I can pick up a set of 2 inch extended shackles for. 94 LWB 2.4 as I'm struggling as every link I find in forums and google all go to 404 error. I'm thinking next time I buy a Frontera I'm going with a B
