Hi All
Our frontera is a 2.2 td Sport SWB. W Reg 2000 (whoops thanks fuzion137 forgot that bit)
Brought it to tow our caravan, and for me to drive. Husband drive's company vehicle (dustcart) only joking
Frontera looks great but this is the second big fault in 6 months. Hope we haven't made a mistake We had heard that a lot of faults from the older model had been rectified in this model?
I've joined to get advice from the Tech Team, about my Alarm that keeps going off !! Searched the Boards already and think we know what weve got to replace. Something under the wheel arch with batteries.
Glad weve joined you all anyway, sounds like you all know whats what when it comes to Fronteras.
Thanks in advance for any future help or info

Falts, fronteras are funny cars for them. My dads old san diego 2.5td kept going wrong at the drop of a hat. But mine hasent missed a beat. I realy think it is luck of the draw, making sure you havent got the infamous, 'friday afternoon car'
Welcome anyway, hope you get yours fixed asap.

TBH the 2.5 is a fantastic car when its running well (ask Paul Higgi, with the beast) the main problen is its made to GO with lots of electronics fly by wire jigerypokery,.
So I think getting the ECU checked first would be the best idea .
This will tell you of any problems.
Some garages will tell you the info for as little as £15, But Vauxhalls are likely to charge nearer to £50 , we dont go there , never

Hi SolihullSteve,
Yeah good idea think you might.
Not had a good look around this forum yet, but we wouldn't mind a bit of off roading. Will look into it a bit more and we might see you at a meet this year.
Thanks all for a warm welcome
Had a rethink about alarm might not be the powersounder so put question into alarm forum if anyone could tell me what they think that would be great. Thanks again

Hey Scooby,
We've always got little things happening around Warwickshire/Worcestershire . Fording/Green Laneing ..
Apache_Andy and Turbochops are always out and about.
We've also got a pretty standard Fording Run already set up (See relevant Forum Thread) that I led a few of the Guys on and they Claimed to have had a good time ... Well, We know apache_Andy enjoyed one of the Fords as He's always there now! lol
Haven't got a clue about the alarm problem, when I had my 2.2 it never went off! lol
