What ho peeps, long term Vauxhall owner and enthusiast here, just bought my first 4x4. Frontera Sport fresh off the `bay at a very cheap price. Taxed and tested it`s been very well used and it shows but the drive back (20 ish miles) and a quick blast round the lanes 1/2 hour ago and I think it`s looking good for the money.
Got a whole load of q`s to ask (don`t even know which thing to select on the tansfer box!) but I`ll come to them another time.
Meanwhile like the look of the site and plan to attend a north western meeting and a bit of off-roading somewhere, as I`m based in west Cheshire.
Season`s greeting to you all by the way and all the best.

Thanks matey, no worries on that score as she can`t drive. I kind of get the feeling she won`t like it anyway but that`s probably a good thing-don`t want her to think I`m looking after her, lol.
The kids are very impressed though, a quick blast up some lanes and some very gentle off roading had us all laughing like drains
One of the big attractions of the Frontera to me is that this one has the 2.0 8V engine which (imho) is one of the best 8 valve engines ever made. I`m really tempted to buy my Calibra back off the insurance company (got hit a couple of weeks back and it`s been written off) and see if I could persuade someone to fit the red top engine into the Fronty!

Thanks once again, I`ll see how much I have to pay to get the car back off the insurance and take it from there.
Incidentally what BHP are the eight valve engines in the Sport please? Is it the 130 motor or the 118?
Cheers,

Cheers Carl, sounds like the fantastic 130 motor from a Cavalier SRi would be a good way to obtain a little more power if wanted?
