I feel it fair to admit that I have never been a Vauxhall man myself, having always gone for Ford products in the past (still do). However, growing up in the late 80's and early 90's the Frontera and Maverick were big things back then and as such when it came to me buying a 4X4 it came down to one of the two listed. The Frontera I bought came up at the right price and was local to me and it seemed a good purchase as it had a few upgrades.

I believe that a fair few of you may know of it as it use too belong to a fellow forum member - Gotafrontera

Luke had it up for sale on fleabay and we struck a deal where he kept the winch and I (that is, my dad) gave him a fistfull of £'s)

Very happy so far after clocking up 30 miles in it today. Not had a chance to get dirty in it, although it did get a wash today and that improved it no end :lol:

Have left out the bit about her breaking down in Tesco Pontardawe due to a shot battery (dead cell) and a 40 mile round trip to go back home and get a spare battery, tools, fuel and a boooster pack to get her going :mrgreen:

hi an welcome more of a ford lover myself but the fronty was the first vauxhall i liked

granada`s love them mk1 transit for retro reasons in fact all transit except the new front wheel drive ones , you rember supervan i saw one the other day in high blantyre seem they still modding transits

welcome along to the mad house but for my only two fords cut it Escorte Mk2 and the Cortina

Welcome buddy. First car was a battered Ford Fiesta Mk.1 ... however moved onto Vauxhalls later including Mk.1 Astra 1300S, Cavalier Mk.3 SRi, FRONTERA 2.3TD, and Cavalier Mk.3 V6.

Loved my Frontera but she was getting tired and long in the tooth. Would of got another but was offered an Isuzu Trooper for free so went that route.
