Hello - Fontera needed for Lifeboat crew

Thanks for the advice.. we have a tractor for the main lifeboat, the Tender is only a small 3 main RIB, 10hp out board. The trailer is a small a jet ski would weight more.

My aim is to condense my search, are there any models to avoid in the diesel range? are there ones to go for? remember I am only looking to spend 2k but as always I want to ensure that we get something that isn't going to blow up!

Example below is from ebay, a 2.2 with 81K on the clock (ex police) so good service history.

Try and avoid the 2.2s in petrol, not one of the best engines vx fitted in the frontera range.

all the models in the diesel range fair well, by far the best and most reliable is the 2.8 though, and 2k will buy you a good one

Welcome, i'ld go with the others n back the 2.8 with a decent set of AT tyres, oh n if ya launching boats it may be worth fitting a snorkle once ya get one Blackpool RNLI used to have a shorty 2.8 with snorkle n quite often took it swimming in the shallows trying to get the boats out.
