Hi there. Today I bought myself a car I'd always loved the look of. Whether I'll live to regret it is another matter. I have a frontera TD sport 5 door 1996. I'm used to driving Peugeot 405 turbo diesel cars and love their reliability. The first thing I noticed on the new frontera was how much rust it has compared to my 14 year old 'puggie'.Are they always as bad as this?
Will spend the next few weeks finding out about the car, seeing if my rather massive dog likes it and making a final decision whether I'll keep it (the car not the dog). I bought it because my ancient 'puggie' simply hasn't the guts to pull my new double horse trailer easily and I couldn't find a Peugeot 4X4 or one with a minimum of 2.5cc engine.
Incidentally, I ran my 'puggies' on pure veggie oil in summer. Has anyone here done the same with a Vauxhall frontera diesel? Do they have a bosch fuel pump or a lucas?
Anyway, that's enough for now, look forward to learning about my new Frontera.
