A New Terror Owner in the fold!

Hey Guys, My names Dave and i'm a Frontera owner

I live in north herts, Work as a delivery driver and got bored of the horrible bouncy spine shattering ride of my old car, so am now enjoying the interestingly bouncy ride of a Fronty Sport 2.0I on an M Plate!

In the pipe line for my new fronty is, CB fitment (i have 2 in the spare room,, which i haven't used as i didn't have a license, but found out now you don't need one !! woop), some more impressive front lights which may include replacing what vauxhall gave us with something a little more Bavarian and there is the engine, 2.0 8valver is fine in a cavalier, but seams to lack something in a fronty! wonder what i can do with that

who thinks a turbo is a good idea cause i do!

Well it's past my bed time boys and girls! i'm going to go and dream of turbo lag now! night night all!

You will be amazed what your li'll 2 litre fronty can accomplish given a chance...enjoy :wink:

As for a turbo conversion....if you are planning to use you shorty off road, then they have enough issues lacking low down grunt a bit on the 2 litre, especially when you need to go slower, which strangling it further with a snail on the manifold will only make worse...get em revving and they are great and will do amazing things, but they will do that fine without a turbo...

Have some fun with it, let it amaze you with what it can do, and learn to get the best out of it...then start with the mods my friend! :wink:

The Cavalier engine is a great little workhorse in the frontera. Admittedly underpowered but very reliable.

granted the 2 is a little underpowered, but once you get it in the dirt you will that much fun. All it needs is that extra gear getting to that lovely welsh mud.

i had one for over 2yrs abit under powered for the weight
it has to pull around but you will be suprised at what they
can do enjoy.

The 2.0 Sport is great, yes it is a bit underpowered but the only time mine have ever really struggled is when I pulled a trailer with a tonne and a half of sand on. Managed it but in second up some of the steeper hills and did start and get a bit warm at times. Other tan that never really had a problem, fantastic little work horses as far as I'm concerned.

Yeap i am looking forward to this twisted new world world of body lifts and muddies!

currently the most experience i have of 4x4ing is bumping up a curb so i wouldn't dream of venturing off down a green lane with out someone to hold my hand (in the none gay way!)
