newbie in scotland

morning folks,
thanks for the help last night, though i had better pop in here and introduce myself, bought my 2.8td sport as a last minute bid on a local fleabay item,,, bugger,, no one else bid, was advertised spares or repair due to clutch gone a few days ago,,yeah,, thats not what he said to my mate when i was out of earshot, lol, anyway, body has odd rust spots,, engine started great, and i ended up driving it home due to spec lift i have not wanting to play, seems to be something to do with hydraulics,, not clutch, as it happily pulled to 8- on bypass, getting rest checked over this morning,, so will keep you posted, seems ok for £200 though

Sounds like you may have stumbled on a bargain there mate.

hopefully your fault may just be a leaky seal or a duff slave, but the link may help if you cant find any obvious problem.

thanks for the welcome peeps, i am in sunny ayr,, it was the slave cylinder,, needs a bit of welding on sill, and exhaust doing,, but i will get there, lol

Was gonna bid but i did not fancy the Short MOT aswell as a clutch job. Glad you got it and welcome. There is and off road meet coming up at drumclog i am hoping to get mine ready for a beginers crash course

whens the drumclog meet,, i will pop up if i am not working, the clutch is done already, and i drove it home yesterday,, did kinda have to crash the gears then,, dunno if i will have a decent set of rubber by meet though, lol
