hi fizz, im quite a new member myself and joined fog before i actually brought my fronty, but after talking to members via pm & searching the site i made the decision to get 1, its a pukka site with really friendly people who are only too pleased to help you out with any questions you might need answering so im sure youve made the right decision in getting a fronty :wink:

ps - i thouhgt fizz was short for fizan :idea:

hahahah, Fizz is short for Fizzipop. I was nicknamed that when I was tiny and wouldnt drink anything but fizzy drink, it got shortened to Fizz as I got older and stuck. So I changed it by deedpoll

And I'm def female lol

Well, the car is going well. Few little problems but nothing huge

The heating doesnt work, its kinda cold at 5.30am on the way to the stables :shock:

and the coolant tank (I think thats what it is, I am a complete GIRL with cars, but I plan on learning my way round this damn car :oops:

and not being so useless with it!) is leaking so I keep topping it up while I am waiting for a replacement.

I popped a tyre. Went through some water the other day and veered off in to the oncoming traffic so pulled the car back, just a little (or so I thought) but went up a rocky verge and chewed up not only the tyre but the wheel. My friend said it looked like a polar bear had atacked the tyre and said 'popped' was the understatement of the year. But the car is fine just now I am looking for a new spare wheel. Clearly I pulled it back waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much. If I had done that in my little Xsara I think we would have ended up upside down

The heated thingys on the back window dont work and there is condensation on the inside.

The exhaust needs clipping or tighting or whatever since its rattling at the moment.

But I am pleased with it, I have called him Vinnie and he does the job

Hi fizz glad to hear you're ok few pointers for you

1. exhaust.... probably mounting rubbers need replacing or u-clips on the joints bit of exhaust paste handy too just in case

2. back window.... fronty's have a habit like most old cars of the heater element failing after time Andysd1 tells me you can buy something called copper paint or something like that it repairs the element never seen it or used it also just in case i'm wrong check fuses under dash it may have popped i am gonna post on this particular subject cos i have a problem with mine.

My Mum asked me today what car I had got, and so I told her.

So I said (very calmly) "Actually, the Fronterer has a lower centre of gravity and a wider track, thats the wheels mother, and therefore much safer than some other 4x4s"

Fizz - hehe, that is EXACTLY the excuse, same words an everything, I used on my Dad when I got my old series A when I was about your age :lol:

. He still hated the idea, until I got rid of it and got a car again, then he realised how much slower the fronty makes me drive and lent me the cash to buy another :dance:
