hello all ive got me a shonky!!

hello, new to all this i have just bought our 1st frontera a 96 p plate 2.8td from a good friend for little more than the price of a good night out, given the name shonky by my mates littleun(i dont know why either) after a good clean its come up as you see it , really really nice, miles covered from new is 68k and she had a new engine fitted 4 yrs ago( to the tune of 3.5k) which has covered less than 5k this was after my mate forgot to stop when the oil light came on... any way its now ours and is thoroughly enjoyable to drive, we had a couple of discoveries a few years ago and were told to steer well clear of the vauxhall beastie, why i really dont know, its a better ride and certainly more leg room in the back..i have found this forum fantastic in the short time i have been using it with help on several fronts from members , so many thanks and any comments on old shonky most welcome..Lee

That does look a very smart looking Frontera (could do with some alloy wheels though IMHO)

Welcome to FOG, and perhaps we should start a sub group for reborn 2.8's (I fitted a new engine in mine just before Christmas)
