Register here its free and will give you all the info you need, though its always worth contacting the local councils Rights of Way Officer to confirm the lanes status.

right update time on the greenlane situation for round my end, at the moment theres no boats, three got downgraded due to flytippers

Theres a good one just down the road from you at Rivington, and also at Ramsbottom theres a small circular one, and another from Turton tower through to near the A666, and what about Wadacre is that still open, Infact have a look at wetroads there not all off road but some are on good tracks, like Chipping. http://www.wetroads.co.uk
But remember always check the status of the lane before driving it.
as far as i know wadacre and garstang are both still open but don't try garstang on your own tho its a monster of a ford, it may be on a par with the corwen car wash for being a good ford if your in a group, and rivingtons a cracking little lane a few of us had a social meet up there not so long back heres the link CLICKY ![]()
