Well Friday evening I went to the RAF Woodvale Rally near Southport to help man a stand on behalf of CRAG (Countryside Recreational Access Group), the stand space was very kindly donated by Liverpool Land Rover Club.
Friday evening was very warm but very windy, Saturday was very warm but a bit overcast.
I was among at least 25 Land Rovers and one huge MOG
The CRAG contingent consisted of a pumped up V8 Disco a big MOG with a hi ab on, also a challenge defender, and me, more to koin Sunday.
Anyway some pics.
Sorry some are dark camera freaked out.
Camping
Setting up the stand with logs
Setting up the CCTV usable by the public visiting the stand.
A few random stand pics.
From Liverpool Land Rovers Society stand
A Frontera comes to the rescue again, I also had to help flare break pipes
How is this for a VW
a Willies Jeep
This is the actual bus I passed my PSV test in over twenty years ago, the wieredest thing is the disply on the fron is the first ever route I drove on to
Our company sold this bus about 15 years ago.
This model Vulcan Bomber cost £3500 and can get up to 300 mph
It sounded the biz too
OTT

It also had such a high lift wing it could be chucked about a lot, up at altitude it would out turn a fighter. Was litterally under on at the last show at Cosford, he lifted the nose and opened the Olympus engines and climed steep.
The ground shook, hundreds of car alrms went off, kids crying, it was great.
I would pay to watch a Vulcan in the air again, such a shame there arent any, same to the Victor oh and Lightning.

If I ever had the cash to blow, Thunder alley and a lightning would be on the agenda, but allas here in the uk its a Jet Provost if yer lucky. Mind a grand for half hour in a JP should put a smile on anyones face. Just need to win the lottery a few times
